It was created in 1879 and organized in 1880.

It was named for Brigadier General William Henry Harrison Beadle. He was an American soldier, lawyer, educator, and administrator.

NOTE - If a requester would like to obtain records face-to-face, they must adhere to a variety of rules in Beadle County.
